After 1,000 years of a regular market, St Albans now has a Christmas one with over 40 stalls. New for 2016 is the Meraki Festival teepee with a full programme of activities and entertainment throughout the 29 days. The event takes place in and around the beautiful Vintry Garden – a walled garden adjacent to the magnificent 11th-century St Albans Cathedral.
City Centre Charter market, French market and Farmers market.
Christmas shoppers will have more opportunities to browse in the popular St Albans markets this year. St Albans City and District Council is holding more city-centre markets throughout December to make it easier for residents and visitors to do their Christmas shopping.
