Knebworth House, Park and Gardens

One of England’s most beloved stately homes, Knebworth House is famous worldwide for its rock concerts and as the home of the Lytton family since 1490. The original Tudor Manor was transformed in 1843 by the spectacular high Gothic decoration of Victorian novelist Sir Edward Bulwer Lytton who was also famed as the author of the words “The pen is mightier than the sword”.

This beautiful gothic mansion is situated 29 miles north of London off the A1(M) at Stevenage and has beautiful formal gardens, a Dinosaur Trail and 250 acres of parkland, which includes a kids adventure playground.

Open dates Knebworth House, Gardens, and Park will reopen for 2016 on 12th March until September (see calendar for full details of opening dates as the house is not open daily). Open all year for private and special events and events programme throughout the year.
Events and Concerts at Knebworth House There are seasonal events taking place, see the Events section for more information. Knebworth Barns is open year round for corporate hospitality, weddings and gatherings.
